How Kompass works

A useful comparison.
An informed decision.

Kompass puts asking prices and alternatives into context. You stay in charge of the choice.

01 /

Check the car details

The extension reads supported advertisement pages. Confirm the detected year, engine, mileage and price, and correct anything missing.

02 /

Inspect the sample

The comparison API finds eligible cars in its collected inventory. It checks available specifications and availability records. The sample size matters: a small sample is shown as a limitation.

03 /

Explore the trade-offs

Open comparables, widen year or mileage filters, or consider a qualifying lower-mileage alternative. A lower odometer reading does not guarantee better condition.

04 /

Keep a shortlist

Save the car, original link and notes in the extension’s Chrome profile. Recorded asking-price history appears where observations exist. Verify the final details with the seller.

A few useful answers

Know what’s behind
the comparison.

Is the website using live vehicle listings?

Not in this preview. The website uses clearly marked example cars so you can try the interaction. The separate extension pilot compares against collected listing data. Connecting the website to that service is a later integration step.

Which countries are covered?

Collected comparison inventory is currently focused on Latvia. The extension can detect supported advertisements on ss.com / ss.lv, Autoplius and Auto24, but that does not mean we have complete Lithuanian or Estonian comparison inventories. Cross-border cars on the website are illustrations.

Does the price reference show what cars sold for?

No. It is based on observed asking prices. A listing disappearing is not proof that it sold, or proof of the amount paid.

Can a comparable already be unavailable?

Yes. Collection is periodic, and an advertisement may disappear between checks. The comparison excludes listings already recorded as unavailable and applies freshness checks, but availability should still be confirmed at the source.

Can I install the extension today?

It is in private testing, with Chrome Web Store submission still being prepared. There is no public store installation link yet. Existing testers need the supplied extension folder and a working connection to the host’s comparison server.

Are insurance and financial comparisons available?

No. They are areas we may explore after the vehicle product. There are no insurance quotes, financial recommendations or provider offers on this website.

Is there a dealer or fleet plan?

Business tools are being developed. Public business access, pricing and service commitments have not been launched.

See it for yourself.

A short example is worth a long explanation.
